Michael's practice focuses on estate planning and legal issues commonly seen in the entrepreneurial and small business realm.
His experience with estate planning ranges from drafting simple wills to more complex estate planning mechanisms, including both revocable and irrevocable trusts.
His knowledge of business operations and the legal issues commonly facing small business owners stems from years of representing businesses in a wide array of fields including IT consulting and software solutions food service, web design and development, financial services, dental product sales, personal fitness and a number of others. He works with businesses in every stage of life, from creating an appropriate management and ownership structure, through financing and protection of business interests to sales of membership interests, stock purchases and exit planning.
He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Standing Committee on Legal Technology and a Member of the Wisconsin Solo and Small Firm Technology Track Planning Committee. Recently, he was named a Rising Star, 2015 by Super Lawyers Magazine.
He is a frequent speaker on the virtual practice of law and utilizing technology to create efficiency in the legal services industry.
